Handwriting Without Tears
Children who master handwriting are better, more creative writers. The earlier we teach children to master handwriting, the more likely they are to succeed in school, and writing with speed and ease in all subjects. We use fun engaging, and developmentally appropriate instructional methods to enable children to master handwriting as an automatic and comfortable skill.
Eureka Math
Eureka Math connects math to the real world in ways that take the fear out of math and build student confidence--helping students achieve true understanding lesson by lesson and year after year.
ECHOS (Early Childhood Hands On Science)
The preschool will be participating in the ECHOS (Early Childhood Hands On Science) again this year.
The children are involved with hands-on projects on the subjects of Astonishing Air, Busy Buzzing Bees, Blocks Measure Up (using non-standard measurement tools), Beginning Botanist, Discovering Shells, Feathered Friends and more. The sequencing of the lessons ensures the scaffolding of science process skills as the children learn predicting, investigating and evaluating skills.
This program is through a grant sponsored by APS and the Arizona Science Center. ECHOS focuses on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) subjects in the areas of life science, earth science, physical science and pre-numeracy.
